Michy Batshuayi could make his first Crystal Palace start in Sunday's FA Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers.
Batshuayi has made two substitute appearances since joining on loan from Chelsea and his performances both in games and training have given Roy Hodgson food for thought.
"He is a very lively character and is pleased to be back in London," said the Palace boss.
"He knows some of the other players, they've made him feel welcome in training and in the matches he's played so far.
"He has been everything we hoped he would be."
While Batshuayi could make his full debut at the Keepmoat Stadium, Hodgson has ruled out making wholesale changes to his starting line-up.
"Up front in particular we have some options there," he said. "It would be tempting for me to make some changes but I haven't decided on that yet.
"One thing I am certainly not prepared to do is to make any wholesale changes.
"We made a lot of changes in the previous game but unless they're forced upon me I don't intend to make that many."
