Daniel Nardiello's late goal gave Exeter a 2-1 win at Plymouth to put them through to the JPT Southern Area semi-finals.
Nardiello, on as an 85th-minute replacement for Jamie Cureton, pounced on a Richard Logan pass before slotting the ball past home goalkeeper Romain Larrieu. City had taken the lead within two minutes as Ryan Harley let fly with a superb low 25-yard strike that went beyond the outstretched arm of Larrieu and into the corner. In front of 9,431 Devon derby fans, Argyle midfielder Chris Clark replied with a speculative 40-yard lob following a poor clearance from City keeper Artur Krysiak in the 52nd minute. Krysiak managed to get back on his line but could not stop Clark's audacious effort from the right-hand side of the pitch. City might have gone 2-0 ahead in the 42nd minute but central defender Troy Archibald-Henville's powerful header crashed off the bar following Billy Jones' corner from the left. Both teams responded well to conceding, with Argyle targetman Rory Fallon sending three headed efforts just over in the first half. In the 32nd minute Larrieu saved well with his legs to deny goalscorer Harley after a counter-attack from City. Logan headed just over his own crossbar from a Yannick Bolasie corner from the right.
