The Northern Ireland manager's stock has risen significantly thanks to defying the odds to make the World Cup play-offs, where they were narrowly beaten by Switzerland. Much of the Baggies' fans complaint was based around style of football rather than results, so it might be a surprise for some to see Big Sam considered as one of the names linked. However, if relegation really is a fear for the owners then few can compare to the 63-year-old's record of steadying ships. Another manager currently in work but linked with another job, Aberdeen boss McInnes is among the favourites to take over at Rangers. McInnes has grown frustrated with the Rangers talk, insisting there has been no contact, but can now expect more speculation over returning to another one of his former clubs. The 46-year-old spent three seasons at The Hawthorns between 2000 and 2003 and has been backed in from 8/1 to 5/2.
Ronald Koeman - 10/1 with Sky Bet
The Dutchman is available after being sacked by Everton last month and is one of the fans' favourites to replace Pulis at The Hawthorns. But he has suffered a hit after spending £150m at Goodison Park in the summer and paid the price for a shocking start to the Premier League season.
Gary Megson - 10/1 with Sky Bet
The Baggies have appointed Megson as the interim boss safe in the knowledge that he possesses both the experience and club knowledge for the job. The 58-year-old was responsible for leading the club into the Premier League twice, also enduring relegation in between, during his 2000-03 spell in charge. That reign also saw him bring McInnes to the club, potentially making him seen as the ideal man to assist the current second favourite.
