Peterborough produced a battling display as they were beaten 2-0 by Premier League side Norwich in a pre-season friendly at London Road.
Tyrone Barnett missed a decent chance to put Posh ahead after 12 minutes, heading George Boyd's cross over from close range on Saturday. But Norwich stepped it up and, after threatening to take the lead, they finally did so in the 32nd minute, Steve Morison poking the ball home after the Posh defence failed to clear a Simon Lappin cross. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing fired over for the hosts just before the break while City goalkeeper Declan Rudd denied Barnett and Paul Taylor. Norwich doubled their advantage with five minutes left when Grant Holt set up fellow substitute James Vaughan, who rifled his angled shot into the roof of the net.
