Watford manager Walter Mazzarri was delighted with his side's reaction to their defeat by Burnley as they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth on Saturday.
Watford twice fell behind at Vicarage Road, to goals from Callum Wilson and Josh King, but Troy Deeney and Isaac Success brought them level on both occasions to earn a point.
Mazzarri's side performed poorly on Monday Night Football against Burnley, losing 2-0, and the Italian manager was happy with his side's fight in putting that defeat behind them.
"I am happy with how the team played and reacted, especially after the Burnley game," Mazzarri said.
"Of course there were moments when if we were more concentrated we would have ended up with the three points, but I am happy with the team and a point is OK.
"The main thing for me was the reaction after the Burnley game. They proved to me that what we did on the [training] pitch worked.
"I was happy with my team. They had the character of never giving up and this for me is important.
"[At half-time] I told them that we played very well in the first half, but they have to avoid doing silly mistakes we sometimes do, giving the ball very easily to our rivals.
"I also told them that given the opposition we have to press higher.
"My players listened to me. They came out in the second half doing what I told them."
Success, a 20-year-old signing from Granada in the summer, is quickly becoming a crowd favourite at Vicarage Road.
The forward scored his first goal for Watford to equalise at 2-2, having come on just seven minutes before, and Mazzarri was delighted for the youngster.
"He deserves it, because every time he came in he showed he is a very good player and can give a good hand to the whole team," the Italian added.
"He deserves the goal, and I'm very happy for him and the whole team."
