Holmes seals Exeter return

Lee Holmes has made a permanent switch to Exeter after impressing on loan at St James Park last season.

The 28-year-old winger's contract with Preston expired at the end of the campaign and he has now joined the Grecians, whom he made eight loan appearances for between March and May. "I'm delighted that Lee has chosen to stay with Exeter City," manager Paul Tisdale told the club's official website. "He is a very talented footballer and he ingratiated himself into our dressing room very quickly during his loan spell here. "We saw plenty of evidence of his ability during his short time with us, so the prospect of working with him in pre-season and over the next year is extremely exciting."
