Oldham loan signing Anthony Gerrard admits he was left frustrated at Huddersfield after being deemed surplus to requirements.
Gerrard made just four appearances for the Terriers this season before penning emergency loan terms at Oldham on Thursday. The cousin of Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, he joined the Yorkshire side from Cardiff in 2012 and has a total of 87 games for them, but was unable to break through this season under Chris Powell and will leave the club in the summer. And ahead of his potential debut on Saturday against Crewe, Gerrard told the Oldham website: "It's been a frustrating time for me playing with the Under-21's at Huddersfield and not being involved. "I played well and had a good season but started this season injured but the manager said I wasn't needed so I've been waiting for things to happen. "One thing I have been doing since being left out of the fold at Huddersfield is putting myself through it because you never know when your chance might come. I'm more than ready to play games. "If something is there to be done on the field, I do it. May that be a good thing or a bad thing but I don't do things by half. I'm here to do well."
