Lucas Akins is determined to make up for lost time after returning to action for Burton in Saturday's 2-1 win over Mansfield following a two-month injury lay-off. The 25-year-old forward appeared as a late substitute at Pirelli Stadium following a two-month lay-off with an ankle problem, having also suffered from a broken hand this season. "You do set yourself targets of what you want to achieve and one of mine is to stay injury-free and this has been my worst season in terms of that," the summer signing from Stevenage told the Burton Mail. "I like to think I'm ever-present and always available for selection, and when I haven't been it's very frustrating. Hopefully that's behind me now and I can push forward and crack on. "I'm just continuing to work hard in training. We've got another game coming up this week, a behind-closed-doors game, and I'll get as many minutes as I can in that. "Hopefully I'll feel better on Saturday. It helps having a decent crowd at home spurring you on."
