Striker Mathias Pogba has left Crewe and joined Italian side Pescara for an undisclosed fee.
The League One club confirmed Pogba, 23, has agreed personal terms and passed a medical with the Serie B team and will join his brother, Paul, in Italy should he receive international clearance. Crewe boss Steve Davis had recently revealed Pogba had expressed a desire to leave Gresty Road and, with 12 months left on his contract, the Alex were left with little choice but to move him on. Pogba scored 21 goals during 63 appearances for Crewe after signing from Wrexham. He spent the first half of last year injured but returned to ensure the Railwaymen avoided relegation, grabbing the winner in the final-day victory over Preston which preserved their League One status. With Pogba's departure expected, Davis last week moved to bring in centre forward Marcus Haber on a free.
