Stevenage defender Ryan Johnson has signed his first professional contract at the club.
Johnson, who made his first-team debut against Brentford in May aged 17 years and 215 days, becomes the first Stevenage player to be handed a professional deal a year early. Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace told the club's official website: "Darren Sarll and Leon Hunter worked hard to get Ryan to join us last summer and their persistence paid off with this promotion to the first team squad a year early. "If he works hard and learns his trade Ryan could go a long way in the game."
