Bayer Leverkusen general manager Rudi Voller says he cannot wait to see what loan signing Tin Jedvaj can do at the club.
The 18-year-old centre-back moved to Germany on an initial two-year loan deal from Serie A side Roma on Wednesday.
The Croatia Under-21 international left Dinamo Zagreb last summer and made just two appearances for the Italian side.
Jedvaj joins Josip Drmic, Wendell Borges and fellow Croat Dario Kresic as new signings at the BayArena and Voller is eager to see the youngster in action.
He told the official club website: "Tin Jedvaj is a very talented youngster who we've been looking at for some time.
"We hope he can reach the next level of his development whilst he's at the club.
"He will be a useful addition to our defensive ranks. We have gained yet another talented young player."
