Croatian off to Ukraine after two years at Ewood Park
Blackburn Rovers have confirmed striker Nikola Kalinic has left the club to join Ukrainian side Dnipro for an undisclosed fee.
The Croatia international has been trying to secure a transfer to Dnipro for the past few weeks and the paperwork on his switch is almost complete.
The 23-year-old joined Blackburn in a £6million deal from Hajduk Split two years ago, but he has struggled to make a sustained impact.
Though he was Rovers' joint leading scorer in the Premier League last season with five goals in 18 appearances, he did not start a game after mid-February.
In total, Kalinic scored 13 goals in 53 matches for Rovers and the recent capture of David Goodwillie has boosted Steve Kean's options in attack.
