Lotus driver Romain Grosjean crashed out heavily of the Russian GP after slamming into the barriers at Sochi.
Fortunately the Frenchman, who will join Haas next year, was unharmed in the accident.
Travelling at high speed behind the McLaren of Jenson Button, Grosjean's Lotus suddenly veered right, across the track and into the tyre barriers.
Grosjean was taken to the medical centre, but was released with a bandage on his elbow the only noticeable injury.
"I'm good," he told Sky Sports F1.
"I won't be able to run a marathon right now, but I am very glad I had my HANS device, the Tecpro barrier and the structure of the car. I knew it was going to be a big hit, tensed my muscles and closed my eyes waiting for it to be over.
"It is not the best feeling in the world, but I am so happy that the safety is so good in Formula 1 you can have a big shunt and come here and talk to you."
