Despite their driver suffering from inconsistent power deployment in Baku, the Mercedes team were unable to instruct Hamilton how to apply a fix on his steering wheel due to F1's pre-season clampdown on radio messages.
But as Hamilton struggled in vain to find a solution to the problem, the world champion issued a series of increasingly exasperated radio messages.
