Nico Rosberg won for the third time this season - and also for the second time in a row at the Red Bull Ring - after getting the jump on polesitter Lewis Hamilton and staying there.
Felipe Massa claimed the final podium place from Sebastian Vettel after a slow pit stop from Ferrari, while Nico Hulkenberg, Pastor Maldonado and Max Verstappen all claimed top-ten finishes.
Meanwhile, there was drama when Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen crashed heavily on the opening lap, and more disappointment for McLaren-Honda after Jenson Button also retired early.
