Red Bull have signed young British pair Dean Stoneman and Callum Ilott to their junior team for the 2015 season, as the firm continue their search for future F1 stars.
The energy drinks company's driver development programme has continuously proved to be successful, with five drivers currently on the F1 grid - Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen - all graduates of the scheme.
The junior team’s line-up for 2015 has now been revealed, with 24-year-old Stoneman and 16-year-old Ilott signed to join the retained Pierre Gasly in the scheme.
Stoneman finished second behind countryman and former Red Bull junior Alex Lynn in last year’s GP3 Series, having returned to racing in 2013 after recovering from testicular cancer. He will now race for DAMS in Formula Renault 3.5 in 2015.
Teenager Ilott, meanwhile, will move from winning the KF European karting championship into his first season of single seaters in the Formula 3 European Championship with Carlin.
While no longer part of the scheme for 2015, GP3 champion Lynn has already secured a development driver role at Williams and race seat in GP2, where we will partner Gasly at DAMS.
