Christian Horner carries part of Max Verstappen's engine in suitcase to Russian GP!

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has revealed he carried part of Max Verstappen's engine in his suitcase to Sochi ahead of this weekend's Russian GP.

"A bit got forgotten so thankfully the guys at Renault were able to send the components to the UK and I was able to bring it through customs yesterday," Horner told Sky F1.

"It's not the easiest thing to explain to a Russian security guard, but he seemed to get the idea."

Despite Horner's unusual baggage component, Red Bull are not expecting any upturn in fortunes this weekend in Sochi.

"In reality, if they line up in order we'll be 5th and 6th," Horner added. "The gap in qualifying will be bigger than in race. This race is about damage limitation, getting the cars to the finish then hopefully getting that upgrade."

Red Bull are set for a chassis upgrade ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, on May 14, something Horner believes will have a big impact.

"Hopefully Barcelona upgrade is the catalyst to get our season started."
