Watch the extraordinary press conference where new world champion Nico Rosberg announced his immediate retirement from Formula 1.
Ahead of the FIA's prizegiving gala in Vienna where he collected his Drivers' Championship trophy on Friday night, Rosberg dropped the bombshell that he had decided to mark his title win by walking away from the sport after 10 years.
"I've achieved that childhood dream and I'm not willing to do that kind of commitment again," said Rosberg, who paid tribute to his wife Vivian for looking after their one-year-old daughter.
Aged 31, Rosberg quits F1 after achieving 23 wins, 30 poles and 57 podiums after driving for just two teams - Williams and Mercedes.
