Claire Williams insists that Williams will have an "exciting line-up" next year, although she refused to confirm their drivers for 2017.

The deputy team principal admitted that there was still some work to do on the deals, suggesting there are likely to be changes from their current pairing of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas.

Asked by Ted Kravitz after the Team Principals' press conference on Friday if she was closer to knowing who their drivers will be next year, Williams said: "I do but that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you!"

She then added: "We're still doing some work on it. We would love to be able to make our announcement as soon as possible but, as you'd expect from a responsible team and business, we have to go through all our options.

"But we'll have an exciting line-up next year."

Jenson Button is among the drivers to be linked with a return to Williams, where he started his F1 career in 2000, but he has said he's yet to make a decision on his future.

"I am almost there with my thought process and you will hear about it soon," said Button ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. "I can't put a timescale on it, but it will be soon enough."

The 2016 season has returned following a four-week summer break, and Button did admit he spent a large portion of his holiday pondering his future.

"I did think about it (my future) a lot," he added. "I didn't have a lot of time to lie on a sun-lounger and think about it, to be fair. I was busy, but yes, of course, I thought about it."
