Sky Sports News' Craig Slater reports on Daniil Kvyat who sounded dejected when speaking to him and Rachel Brookes after qualifying 19th in Germany

It's tough to watch as a distraught Daniil Kvyat faces the media after yet another torrid result in qualifying for the German GP.

Despite starting the season at Red Bull and finishing April's Chinese GP on the podium, Kvyat now finds himself in a fight just to keep his seat at Toro Rosso only three months after his mid-season demotion.

Kvyat is widely expected to be replaced by Pierre Gasly at the end of 2016 and suffered another hefty blow to his reputation and confidence at Hockenheim when he was eliminated in Q1.

"That was not enough?" said the Russian over team radio. "Unbelievable. What the **** is going on?"

Afterwards, Kvyat was even more emotional in the media pen with his body language as anguished as his tortured self-analysis.

"I should be better than this," the Toro Rosso told Sky Sports News HQ. "I know it's not my real self driving my car and it's very painful. Some people are happy to see this for sure."

Since his demotion to Toro Rosso, Kvyat has scored just two points and only out-qualified team-mate Carlos Sainz twice in eight attempts.

"There are a few people in this paddock that are actually rather worried for him," reported Sky Sports' Craig Slater. "He is still only 22 years of age and it's been a traumatic year for him with his demotion to Toro Rosso."
