After Lewis Hamilton revealed he was involved in a 'minor' car crash in Monaco, his fellow drivers reminisce about their own mishaps

Following Lewis Hamilton's late-night road accident in Monaco, the world champion's F1 peers have revealed their own road mishaps.

The Mercedes driver crashed his £1.5m Pagani Zonda 'supercar' into three parked cars on the streets of Monte Carlo, where F1's most famous race is staged, in the early hours of Tuesday morning - just hours before he was due to fly to Interlagos for this weekend's Brazilian GP.

"It is actually a bit embarrassing that the world's fastest driver has crashed a hypercar between two of the slowest corners in Formula 1 and run into a couple of stationary cars," reflected Sky F1's Martin Brundle. "So he will have to live that one down for a while."

But as some of Hamilton's colleagues admitted in the Interlagos paddock, Lewis isn't the first F1 driver to suffer an embarrassing incident on public roads. Play the video at the top of the page to find out more…
