Who are the defending champions?
The Netherlands. Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld won the title last year, and return to defend it. A fourth victory would tie England's record. They remain the only two nations to lift the prize.
But Scotland are the top seeds…
Gary Anderson and Peter 'Snakebite' Wright, on account of their PDC order of merit rankings, are seeded higher than Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld.
But, the Scottish duo suffered a humbling at the World Cup of Darts last year…
What happened?
Anderson and Wright were shocked 5-2 by Singapore's Paul Lim and Harith Lim on the opening night of last year's tournament.
Who's representing England?
Gone are the days of Phil 'The Power' Taylor and Adrian Lewis, the pair that are responsible for all four of England's triumphs in this tournament.
World champion Rob Cross will team up with Dave Chisnall in a new-look England team. Let's hope it doesn't go to a penalty shoot-out.
Will we inevitably be eliminated by Germany?
The host nation are represented by Max Hopp and Martin Schindler but, luckily, this is one World Cup when England would be heavily favoured to beat Germany.
Who else shall we look out for?
Brazil's Diogo Portela, who debuted at last year's tournament then played at the World Darts Championship, is a fun character.
Momo Zhou will become China's first female competitor at the World Cup of Darts, making history.
