New World Grand Prix favourite Mensur Suljovic had more pressing issues on his mind after reaching the semi-finals on Thursday night.
Suljovic hit three ton-plus checkouts on his way to a comprehensive 3-1 victory over UK Open champion Peter Wright at the CityWest Hotel in Dublin.
The Serbian-born Austrian will take on Simon Whitlock for a place in the final on Friday, but the world No 6 seemed to be more concerned about his wife than his next opponent.
"Reaching the semi-finals is a big problem for me," Champions League of Darts winner Suljovic told Sky Sports. "My wife is not speaking with me.
"My wife tells me everyday to come home, but I'm here and I'm playing."
Suljovic admitted Friday is another day and won't know how he will feel when he takes on former World Championship finalist Whitlock.
"Today, I felt perfect. But tomorrow is tomorrow and today is today."
Suljovic had darts analyst Wayne Mardle in stitches during his victory over 'Snakebite', after slapping the back of his own hand to tell himself off during the quarter-final clash.
"We watch TV to be entertained," said Mardle. "He is entertaining, there is no doubt about it and he can play.
"There are a lot of show ponies over the years and I was one of them, but to play darts like him is magnificent.
"We want to see him play. There was a time when we all thought this guy was so slow and boring but he was never boring, he was just different. Now we're getting used to different. He's an absolute breath of fresh air.
"My wife was always like 'make sure you stay there another week'. How can you not like someone to personable, so amiable, and also so straightforward. We know that he's great."
