Michael van Gerwen continues his bid for a third consecutive Grand Slam of Darts title on Thursday, where former winners Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld also feature.
The world No 1 won all three matches to top his group and set up a last-16 clash with Steve Lennon, who needed leg difference to progress after losing two of his three round-robin fixtures.
Van Gerwen came back from 4-2 down to defeat Rob Cross 5-4 in his second match of the tournament, leaving Cross runner-up in the group and facing a second-round meeting against unbeaten Van Barneveld.
Darren Webster's reward for defeating Mark Webster in a nine-dart shoot-out in Group D is a meeting with six-time Wolverhampton champion Taylor, with "The Power" chasing a first Civic Hall title since 2014.
Taylor topped Group C despite losing his final group game to last year's runner-up James Wade, who now takes on World Grand Prix champion Daryl Gurney for a place in the quarter finals.
All second round fixtures are the best of 19 legs, with all matches over the following rounds being best of 31 legs.
Thursday's order of play (best of 19 legs)
Daryl Gurney v James Wade
Phil Taylor v Darren Webster
Michael van Gerwen v Steve Lennon
Raymond van Barneveld v Rob Cross
