Colombian talent Egan Bernal has been confirmed as Team Sky's latest signing after securing victory at the Tour de l'Avenir.
Bernal, rated one of the best young climbers in the world, won two stages at the top U23 race and finished fourth in Sunday's finale behind Russia's Pavel Sivakov.
He had been successful on summit finishes in Hauteluce-les-Saisies and Sainte-Foy-Tarentais in the previous two stages to take a lead over Bjorg Lambrecht which he maintained on the final stage.
Bernal showed off his talents against some of the world's best riders in the Tour of the Alps earlier this summer, when he finished ninth overall behind new team-mate Geraint Thomas, only finishing 62 seconds off the Welshman.
He said: "I always dreamed of being with this team. I never thought the opportunity to join would come this fast, so to sign for Team Sky is a dream come true.
"My first goal with Team Sky is to learn. I want to learn from my teammates and take advantage of the experience that there is in the team.
"I'm excited to be joining Team Sky and I want to contribute as much as I can."
