Vuelta a Espana winner Nairo Quintana will remain with Movistar until at least the end of 2019 after signing a two-year contract extension.
The Spanish team have also announced that their title sponsor has extended its backing until 2019, and that Alejandro Valverde will sign a new contract in the coming days.
Movistar began sponsoring the team in 2011, with Quintana joining the following year. Valverde has been with the team since 2005, when it was known as Illes Balears-Caisse d'Epargne.
Carlos Lopez Blanco, of Telefonica, the parent company of Movistar, said: "Enjoying results like this Vuelta win by Nairo Quintana is sensational. We've got tremendous confidence in the future of the team and our collaboration with them."
Movistar team manager Eusebio Unzue added: "We've got a strong team in Alejandro, Nairo and all their team-mates, and now that both are set to continue, our goal for this new, three-year term is leading cycling as we did for the past six seasons.
"We now start working on building a good future for the squad and bringing Telefonica more reasons to remain confident about what we can do."
