England cricketer Tammy Beamount is spending the festive period in Australia playing in the Big Bash

Tammy Beaumont admits she is still coming to terms with her record-breaking heroics this summer.

Beaumont scored back-to-back centuries during the ODI series whitewash against Pakistan, becoming the first English women's player to achieve the feat.

"I think I still have to pinch myself sometimes looking back at how things went for me this summer but I am pleased to have achieved what I did against Pakistan," she told Sky Sports News HQ live from Adelaide on Christmas Day.

"A year ago I wasn't even a full-time member of the team. To come away from that and now have that record behind me is awesome."

Beaumont is currently playing for Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash League and revealed she was lucky enough to enjoy a traditional Australian-style Christmas with her family.

"It's a good challenge for me out here and it's been a bit strange having a warm Christmas," she said.

"I think it was 40 degrees in Adelaide today and we spent a lot of time down in the beach and we had some shrimp on the barbie for lunch, which is very Australian.

"My parents and brother have been fortunate enough to come out here and watch a few games so I spent the whole day with them. They've really enjoyed it and it has probably been one of our most memorable Christmas Days."
