England and Sussex seamer Chris Jordan will travel to India this week to play in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The 27-year-old, who took six wickets at the World Twenty20, will fly out on Saturday after Bangalore called him up as their replacement overseas player with Mitchell Starc yet to recover from a foot injury.
"I'm more than overjoyed to be joining RCB," Jordan told Sky Sports.
"It happened quickly but I'm glad that it has materialised and I'm just looking forward to getting out there and putting in performances to win games for RCB if I get the nod."
"We are happy to support Chris in his decision to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016," said ECB director Andrew Strauss.
"Participating in the tournament will be a good opportunity for him to further develop his white-ball skills."
