Never write New Zealand off.
After losing a thrilling first Test to England at Lord’s, Brendon McCullum’s tenacious Black Caps bounced back brilliantly to win by 199 runs at Headingley and square the series at 1-1.
That, unfortunately, is the end of the five-day duels between the sides for the time being but we still have some mouth-watering limited-overs tussles – five ODIs and a T20 – to look forward to.
Sir Ian Botham joined David Currie on the latest Sky Cricket Podcast to preview the one-dayers and reflect on a quite scintillating Test series, in which Alastair Cook and Trent Boult prospered.
Download the show now to hear Beefy’s thoughts on the Kiwi’s triumph in Leeds, whether they deserve a longer series, and how England are shaping up ahead of the Ashes.
We also catch up with respective captains Cook and McCullum, as well as England interim coach Paul Farbrace for his musings on the Tests and the impending one-day internationals.
