Exciting young South Africa seamer Kagiso Rabada says he is convinced the good times will return for the team.
And the 20-year-old says they are planning to kick off that process with an improved display in the fourth Test against England, which gets underway in Pretoria on Friday.
South Africa have lost their position atop the world Test rankings, having followed a 3-0 series loss in India before Christmas with a disappointing effort against England at home.
The tourists have an unassailable 2-0 lead after victories in the first and third matches of the series, and South Africa have not won any of their last nine Tests, their longest winless run since 1964-65.
However, Rabada says they are determined to end that sequence this week at Centurion.
"There is another game to play and we have to look to the future," said the paceman.
"We are trying to stay positive. There is another match and we are going to rock up and play hard. We are not going to throw in the towel, it's unlike us to do that.
"There are always going to be ups and downs in cricket and in life.
"The good times will come and we will look back at the tough times and think 'look where we were and look where we are now'.
"It happens to everyone. Unfortunately it's happening to us right now but we have to stick together as a team and stay positive."
There have not been many positives for South Africa in the series but the form of Rabada has definitely been one of them.
Playing in just his fifth Test last week, Rabada took 5-78 in the first innings, his first five-wicket haul at the top level.
"It was even more special getting the five-for at my home ground, the Wanderers," he said. "It's a memorable achievement and milestone.
"I always just try to do my best and to help the team. I try to stick to my game plans and the team's game plans, and luckily it paid off."
