Stuart Broad became only the second Englishman to take 400 Test wickets when he dismissed Tom Latham on day one of the day-night Test in Auckland.

Cricket Debate

On a day that most England players will want to forget as soon as possible after they were bowled out for just 58 in the first session, Broad ensured there was at least a silver lining for him as he took his landmark wicket.

Broad overtook Sir Ian Botham to move into second on England's list of Test wicket-takers last summer and has now followed his new-ball partner James Anderson (525) in reaching the 400 mark.

The moment came in the first over of the final session at Eden Park as New Zealand opener Tom Latham chipped the ball to Chris Woakes at midwicket - it was far Broad's best delivery of the day, let alone his career, but it was certainly an important one as England looked to claw their way back into the game.
