Sky's Geraint Hughes reveals Steven Finn was very disappointed after being ruled out of the Ashes tour in Australia with a knee injury.

Steven Finn will miss the remainder of England's Ashes tour after scans revealed that he has a torn left knee cartilage.

The Middlesex seamer sustained the injury during practice last week in Perth and will return to the UK in the next 48 hours where he will meet a knee specialist to ascertain whether he will have an operation.

England will announce his replacement for the rest of the tour in due course.

The 28-year-old was a late addition to the England squad following the ECB's decision to exclude Ben Stokes from selection consideration, after Stokes' arrest in September.

England coach Trevor Bayliss says there are three or four players who could be vice-captain for the Ashes series

When asked about Ali's fitness, Bayliss said: "We will just leave him out of this one and make sure he's right."
