Jason Holder says Windies are hungry for more ahead of their second Test against England in Antigua.

Windies captain Jason Holder says his side are focused on achieving previously elusive consistency ahead of the second Test against England in Antigua.

The 27-year-old hit 202 not out and took two wickets in his team's 381-run victory in the first Test in Barbados; in doing so he became the first West Indian to top the ICC all-rounder rankings since Sir Garfield Sobers.

Despite their comfortable win at Kensington Oval, Holder maintains that his team have their feet on the ground ahead of Thursday's second Test, live on Sky Sports, and urged them to learn lessons from failing to follow up impressive performances in recent times.

"Speaking to the guys, everyone is speaking about just being consistent - that's something which has plagued West Indian cricket in the recent past," Holder told Sky Sports.

"Everybody is really hungry. We understand what we've done in Barbados and I just think everyone is looking forward to the second Test in Antigua."

Holder believes his Windies team have room for improvement, despite their enormous victory in Barbados, where spinner Roston Chase took Test-best figures of 8-60.

Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain debate England’s selection issues after their hammering by Windies, including Keaton Jennings' form and whether Stuart Broad should return for the second Test in Antigua.

He added: "I still think we could have put up some more runs in the first innings. At the top of the order we could have had more conversion as well.

"I don't think we utilised the new ball as well as we probably did in the first innings, but it was still really good that we got the 20 wickets."

Although Holder remained tight-lipped on his squad for the Antigua Test, England have replaced Keaton Jennings with uncapped opener Joe Denly, while Adil Rashid is not in the side.

England's Rory Burns says the team were disappointed to lose so heavily to the Windies in Barbados but says they will look at the first Test as a 'lesson'.

"At the start of the series I knew what an English series is. I was privileged to play here in the Caribbean in 2015 and we had the series in England last summer," said Holder.

"Playing the English for me is the biggest series, more so because of the crowd support and the drive that it brings to the fans.

"The English bring great support as they always do and they obviously have banter with the West Indian supporters. It's really good to play against England and I really enjoy doing it."
