Shaun Marsh and Jason Roy struck fine centuries for Australia and England in the second ODI, with the home side coming out on top.
Click on the video above to watch as Roy (120) smashed a fifth ODI century to fire England up to their record ODI score against Australia, while Marsh (131) followed it up with his fourth - and second against England - but could not quite see his side over the line.
With 53 runs needed from the final five overs, Marsh was one of two wickets to fall in Liam Plunkett's subsequent over and Australia were ultimately dismissed for 304, 38 runs short of England's score.
Roy's century was slightly more circumspect than his previous efforts, using up 97 deliveries, as opening partner Jonny Bairstow's blistering 42 off 24 balls allowed him to get his eye in.
Roy eventually departed in the 36th over, getting a fine inside edge through to wicketkeeper Tim Paine, who took a good catch low to his left - even better considering that earlier in the over he had received a nasty blow in the face off a ball that bounced viciously in front of him.
But Buttler - England's stand-in captain, with Eoin Morgan out with back spasms - kept his foot on the accelerator, blasting an unbeaten 91 off 70 balls to lift England to 342-8.
In reply, Marsh went through to a superb 95-ball century, but received little support from the rest of the top order, and perished late on when running out of partners.
