A soggy pitch proved only a temporary pain for Australia as they crushed England by an innings to regain the Ashes... here is all you need to know from day five in Perth.
Australia have regained the Ashes after bowling England out for 218 in Perth to win by an inning and 41 runs and take an unassailable 3-0 lead, following a three-hour delay at the start of day five due to a wet pitch.

Australia captain, STEVE SMITH:"I am so proud of the boys - to get that urn back is amazing. The boys have done a terrific job to get the 20 wickets we needed in very game. We haven't won the toss and have probably had the toughest of conditions, so I am so proud of everyone. A lot of credit has to go to the selectors as well as they made bold decisions."
England captain JOE ROOT:"It is very difficult to take. Fair play to Australia, they have outplayed us in three games. We have to be better. We've got to learn from it, make sure we're better but there are some good things that have come from this week."
Clearly it was when Chris Woakes was last man out, caught behind while trying to ramp Pat Cummins, the same bowler who had welcomed James Anderson to the crease not long earlier by clattering him on the side of the helmet - a notable lump appearing behind the England seamer's ear.
However, English heads dropped when Jonny Bairstow was bowled by Josh Hazlewood from the sixth ball of the morning, Hazlewood's delivery hitting a crack or damp patch, straightening, staying low and hitting Bairstow's off-peg. Dawid Malan gloving the same bowler behind on the pull to become seventh man down only adding to the impending sense of doom.
Malan has now made 302 runs in the series - that's more than any England batsman managed on the last Ashes tour in 2013/14. So, that's one positive at least...
TWEETS OF THE DAY
The early-morning rain, sieve-like covers and lengthy delay were heavily discussed on social media...

Plenty of question marks over England's players but not Dawid Malan...
