Tom Westley struck his maiden fifty as England took total control of the third Test against South Africa on day four at the Oval.
Westley made 59 off 141 in his second Test innings as England racked up 313-8 declared - Jonny Bairstow top-scoring with a breezy 63.
That left South Africa needing an unlikely 492 to win and by the close their hopes of even salvaging a draw seemed slim as the tourists stuttered to 117-4 despite an unbeaten 72 from opener Dean Elgar.

The all-rounder followed up his first innings hundred with 31 off 38 balls in the second dig and remained firmly in the game as he dismissed Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis with successive deliveries.
Temba Bavuma helped Elgar steady the ship but by the close South Africa still required 375 to win - with dogged resistance the order of the day on Monday.
