Jason Roy powered two centuries - including 162 at The Oval, the second highest ODI score by an Englishman - as he racked up 316 across the five games at an average of 105.33.
Adil Rashid, meanwhile, contained Sri Lanka's batsmen with his leg-spin, deserving more than the six wickets he managed throughout the series.
Sky Sports expert Knight hails both players, as well as Joe Root and James Vince, after they scored 93 and 51 respectively in England's 122-run triumph in the fifth ODI in Cardiff.
The former England batsman also looks at the 'embarrassment of riches' Eoin Morgan's men have their disposal, even without injured all-rounder Ben Stokes.
Knight also previews Tuesday's one-off Twenty20 international between England and Sri Lanka, a game he insists speedy Sussex seamer Tymal Mills must play in.
