Cricket - SkySports Podcast

It was the day on which Alastair Cook became England's leading Test run-scorer of all time.

On this edition of the Sky Cricket Podcast, Ian Ward catches up with the England captain to reflect on an historic day at Headingley.

Check out the full interview, including Cook telling Wardy: "You don't play for the records, but I know I needed 32 runs but to break the record, you want to do it with an innings (that matters). It was an amazing moment, very humbling."

David Lloyd also joins us to reflect on Cook's achievement, as well as pay homage to Cook's fellow opener Adam Lyth, who registered his maiden Test century.

But England didn't have things all their own way on day two as New Zealand - who started well - rallied before the close to leave the match in the balance.

Former England captain Nasser Hussain has his say on the Black Caps' fightback and looks ahead to day three.
