Callum Smith and Christopher Rebrasse were both inside the super-middleweight limit of 168lbs ahead of Friday's clash in Liverpool - live on Sky Sports.
Unbeaten Liverpudlian Smith, 25, is unusually tall for the division but insists he had no problem shedding the necessary weight. He tipped the scales at 11st 13lbs, with Rebrasse 12oz heavier.
Smith told Sky Sports News HQ: "Whether you struggle or you don't, every boxer has to lose a certain amount.
"I do the weight comfortably but it's always nice to get it out of the way and I can focus on the fight now. I can't wait. I love fighting in front of my own fans.
"I've trained well and I'm going in there to do a job on him and put in a good performance. I believe in my own ability. I respect his durability but I believe I can hurt anyone in the world.
"I'm sure they'll be out in their numbers tomorrow night, cheering on me and the other local lads so hopefully we can do our bit in terms of performance and send them home happy.
"I'm expecting a tough night. He's a good fighter who's given a good account himself when boxing at a high level. I believe I can become a world champion though, so I should be able to come through these tests.
"I'd welcome a fight with George Groves and I'm fighting for the WBC silver title now and he's fighting for the WBC title against Badou Jack. It would be a huge fight for the country but one I am confident I can win."
Smith's clash with respected Frenchman Rebrasse is the headline fight on a packed Echo Arena bill with Tony Bellew, Martin Murray and Rocky Fielding all hoping to steal the show.
