Haye vs Bellew: Tony Bellew's trainer Dave Coldwell replies to David Haye comments

Dave Coldwell and Tony Bellew

Dave Coldwell has reacted calmly to David Haye's "T-shirt carrier" insult.

Coldwell now corners Tony Bellew, who will fight Haye on March 4 on Sky Sports Box Office, but the trainer has already had his stint with the Hayemaker team patronised as nothing more than moving t-shirts.

"Those that were involved, and funnily enough aren't actually with him nowadays, and those that I dealt with know what I did," Coldwell exclusively told Sky Sports.

"I don't need to justify anything, I'm enjoying my work far too much these days.

"[Haye] has more on his plate right now than worrying about trying to demean me. It's about him and Bellew, not anybody else."

Haye had used the pre-fight press conference to aim a verbal assault at Coldwell and promoter Eddie Hearn before a scuffle broke out with upcoming opponent Bellew.

Coldwell has recently overseen Bellew's capture of the WBC cruiserweight title, Jamie McDonnell's WBA bantamweight title victory, as well as the return of David Price.
