Carl Frampton says Scott Quigg's mind games will not stop him producing a career-best performance on February 27.
Britain's two unbeaten world super-bantamweight champions meet live on Sky Sports Box Office later this month in a fight which has been "four years in the making", as far as Frampton is concerned.
The IBF champ is coming to enemy territory and a sold out Manchester Arena, and Quigg has cast doubt on his rival's ability to keep a clear head come fight night.
That accusation does not wash with Frampton, who told Sky Sports News HQ that he is the better fighter and no amount of wind-ups can change that.
"I'm used to boxing in front of big crowds and I've never really got carried away before," the Belfast man said. "They're trying to wind me up and make me fight like I don't normally fight. So far it's not working.
"I like to think I'm a pretty cool character, although Quigg and his team will probably say otherwise. They think they've riled me, but I'm calm and I'm looking forward to it. There will be nerves on fight week, but at this point I'm relaxed."
The pair's long-standing professional rivalry has not spilled over into personal insults during a build-up free of the kind of rancour that has characterised some recent domestic battles.
Frampton said: "No disrespect to Scott - he's a good fighter, a student of the game and he works very hard. I just think I'm a much better fighter and it's going to show on the night.
"You need to be able to deliver on the night - it's all well and good talking, but the proof is in the pudding.
"I'm ready to put in the best performance of my career, and it might take that, but the best Carl Frampton beats the best Scott Quigg. It's as simple as that."
