All eyes move to Scotland this week as history-maker Ricky Burns headlines a stacked card, live on Sky Sports.
With a world title fight and two British belts on the line, including a fiery heavyweight encounter, there is again something for all tastes as Glasgow plays host to another night of championship boxing...
Burns will be making the maiden defence of his WBA super-lightweight strap - his third world title at a third weight - against unbeaten mandatory challenger Kiryl Relikh (21-0-KO19), who himself will be hoping to upset the odds at the SSE Hydro Arena on Friday night.
It will undoubtedly be a step up in class for the dangerous Ricky Hatton-trained Belarusian who has stopped 19 of his 21 opponents thus far and will likely face a hostile atmosphere against the former super-featherweight and lightweight star.
Burns (40-5-1-KO14) - who won the title by impressively stopping Italy's Michele Di Rocco back in May - will likely face controversial American Adrien Broner at the end of the year should he overcome Relikh and Broner is expected to be an interested ringside spectator on Friday.
As the heavyweight scene continues to flourish on both the domestic and international scene, Brixton rivals Dillian Whyte (18-1-KO14) and Ian Lewison (12-2-1-KO8) will take centre stage and battle for the vacant British title.
The pair have not shied away from voicing their distaste towards the other and fireworks are expected as they challenge for one of the sport's most prestigious prizes. Whyte has already challenged for the title once but was stopped in the seventh round by now-world champion Anthony Joshua in December, the only blemish on his record, while Lewison is coming off a big win in China.
Whyte comfortably outpointed David Allen last time out and will likely face Dereck Chisora in a mouthwatering December clash should he be victorious.
Another British title will also be at stake as Scott Cardle (20-0-1-KO6) makes the third defence of his lightweight strap against Grimsby's Kevin Hooper (19-3-KO4).
It has been a far from comfortable reign as champion for Celtic fan Cardle, who has twice been pushed close by Sean Dodd, their second fight being controversially scored a draw despite Dodd seeming to have done enough to win.
Cardle though remains unbeaten and a win over Hooper will see him win the Lonsdale belt outright and likely progress him on to the European and World level in the future, while Hooper, a former English champion, will be hoping to spoil the party and steal away the coveted belt.
Watch Ricky Burns v Kirlyl Relikh and the undercard live from Glasgow, from 8.00pm, Friday, on Sky Sports 2.
