Ted Cheeseman sent out a warning to his super-welterweight rivals with a ruthless stoppage win over Paul Upton at York Hall.
The Bermondsey man blasted Upton to the canvas three times as the fight was waved off in the fourth round and promoter Eddie Hearn intends to secure a Commonwealth title fight for the unbeaten 22-year-old.
Upton made a busy start in the opening round, popping out punches at a high tempo, and Cheeseman gave an early glimpse of his power with a sharp uppercut.
Both men traded body shots as they maintained a hot pace in the second, but Cheeseman carried more firepower and hurt Upton with a ferocious assault in the third.
After stumbling back to his corner, Upton wilted to the canvas following another big uppercut in the fourth round.
There was only a brief reprieve for Upton when he spat out the gumshield, and he was floored two more times by the relentless Cheeseman before the fight was mercifully waved off.
"I walked through him, and I showed how strong I am at the weight, how big I am at the weight, and how hard I'm punching," Cheeseman told Sky Sports.
"I showed I'm ready for anyone at domestic level. Teddy is going to get you."
