Kell Brook says he cannot afford to cut corners ahead of his bout with Sergey Rabchenko on March 3

Kell Brook admits that the prospect of facing Amir Khan is "more exciting" than winning another world title.

The 'Special One' suffered a second successive broken eye socket and surrendered his IBF welterweight title to Errol Spence Jr at Bramall Lane in May, but will return to the ring at 154lbs against Sergey Rabchenko, at the Sheffield Arena, on March 3, live on Sky Sports.

The 31-year-old outpointed Shawn Porter in 2014 to claim his maiden world championship, but says a domestic clash against Khan would take precedence over another shot, if given the choice.

That would be the more exciting of the two. It's probably easier winning a world title than it is to get him to sign a contract.

Amir Khan says he wants to fight Kell Brook and Manny Pacquiao after Phil Lo Greco.

"I want to get round the table with him and get it done. I have been a world champion and loved it, but the buzz of fighting Khan would be beyond even that."

Khan has not fought since suffering a knockout defeat to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in 2016 - a fight which was stipulated at 155lbs.
