Katie Taylor is determined to end a "fantastic year" on a high as she makes the first defence of her world title against Jessica McCaskill on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.
The Irish lightweight returns to the ring just six weeks on from her dominant victory over Anahi Sanchez in Cardiff to win the WBA belt and, following that stunning showing at The Principality Stadium, she battles in a venue of different sorts as she makes her bow at the iconic York Hall in London.
Whatever she brings, It won't be anything I haven't seen before, I'm very much ready.
Taylor is confident that she will have too much for her Chicago challenger and wants to end the year in style.
"It's been a quick turnaround since the Sanchez fight but that's exactly what I want," the 31-year-old told Sky Sports.
"I love the fact that I'm busy and in these big fights, I feel really good and I've had a great camp - I'm fully prepared for fight night.
"This is a great opportunity to end what has been a fantastic year for me on a high. McCaskill will provide another challenge and I'm ready for whatever comes my way."
American McCaskill, a two-time Golden Gloves winner in the amateurs, has openly been chasing a fight with Taylor via social media and now 'CasKILLA' has her wish.
"If I'm honest, I hadn't heard about McCaskill until she started calling me out over the last few months," Taylor, a 2012 Olympic gold medallist, continued.
"I don't mind all the stuff over social media, it's part and parcel of the pro game and I have respect for her.
"She's a great fighter with good credentials, she's tough, strong and is coming here to win, which is fantastic. I'm ready for whatever comes my way.
"Whatever she brings, It won't be anything I haven't seen before, I'm very much ready."
