Carl Frampton has confirmed he will work with new trainer Jamie Moore after parting company with Shane McGuigan.

The former two-weight world champion released a statement confirming his split with manager Barry McGuigan and Cyclone Promotions last month.

Frampton has also changed his trainer following the rematch defeat to Leo Santa Cruz in January, with Moore taking the place of Shane McGuigan, who had previously worked the corner of 'The Jackal.'

Moore took up training duties after ending his career as a fighter and the former European champion has previously guided the careers of Matthew Macklin and Tommy Coyle.

Frampton defeated Scott Quigg to secure the WBA and IBF super-bantamweight titles before stepping up in weight to win his first fight with Santa Cruz on points last July.

But the Belfast man suffered a majority decision defeat in his second fight with Santa Cruz earlier this year and endured further frustration last month when a planned fight with Mexico's Andre Gutierrez was called off with less than 24 hours' notice.
