Mikey Garcia tells Sky's Andy Scott he's comfortable stepping up to super-lightweight for the big fight with Adrien Broner in New York

Mikey Garcia says he is "ready to do whatever it takes" to defeat Adrien Broner after insisting his speed and power has not been affected by the move up to super-lightweight.

The three-weight world champion (36-0 KO30) is preparing to put his unbeaten record on the line against 'The Problem' (33-2 KO24) on Sunday at the Barclays Center in New York, live on Sky Sports Action HD from 1am.

"I'm ready to do whatever it takes," the 29-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"I've prepared myself - 10 weeks of camp for this fight - and I am ready to box, ready to exchange punches and ready to put pressure on if I have to.

"I am ready to take on the best Adrien Broner."

Garcia, who will be competing at super-lightweight for the first time, is also convinced his speed and power will stand up at the higher weight.

"I feel that my power and speed will be there," Garcia said. "All my abilities are there, so I don't feel that can affect me in any way.

"If Adrien Broner, because of his size, can take a better punch than some of the other guys then that may be seen as me moving up in weight and losing power.

"But I don't think I've lost any power and on Saturday everyone is going to see it."
