After seeing Anthony Joshua visit Floyd Mayweather's gym in Las Vegas, Ashley Theophane believes the world heavyweight champion is on the verge of becoming a worldwide star.
Joshua has been out in Las Vegas as talks of a major rematch with Wladimir Klitschko taking place in the boxing capital intensifies.
Pound-for-pound great Mayweather is currently preparing for his August 26 fight with Conor McGregor and Joshua visited the gym to watch the five-weight world champion train.
Welterweight contender Theophane, who is part of Team Mayweather, was also present and says that the 27-year-old heavyweight is close to becoming a star stateside.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, he said: "I didn't know he was going to come into the gym and I was just finishing up my own work when I saw him and he showed love to us all, he's a very likeable guy.
"When he walked in the gym everyone knew who he was, every one of the boxers wanted a photo with him - he's massive in the boxing community.
"He came back again to watch Floyd train and it's great to see two of the biggest names in boxing supporting each other.
"AJ is a star in the UK and when he does eventually fight in the States and elsewhere in the world, he will be a worldwide star.
"The man is great for boxing and represents the UK very well everywhere he goes."
