Shawn Porter wants the WBC to confirm an official eliminator against Danny Garcia.

'Showtime' has called out the former WBC welterweight world champion following speculation that the winner will get an opportunity to fight current holder Keith Thurman.

Garcia has not boxed since losing his title in a unification fight with Thurman in March, and Porter made his intentions clear.

"That fight is not official yet but as we said publicly, I am ready to fight anyone out there, especially someone like Danny Garcia," he told Sky Sports.

"I believe that is a really good fight for me and the fight fans as well, but a lot of things are speculated but never happen due to the economics and if the other side want it to happen.

"If a belt is on the line or something is on the line, Danny Garcia will fight me. If he's just fighting me for money or exposure, I don't think he'll do it.

"I think with the WBC kind of demanding it, it kind of puts more pressure on Danny Garcia but it's still if he wants that fight and when."

Porter's last fight was a ninth-round stoppage win over Andre Berto in April, in what many expected to be a WBC eliminator.

Thurman is recovering from surgery to his right elbow in May and might not box before the end of the year, but 'Showtime' is still seeking revenge no matter how long it takes.

Shawn Porter was hoping the win over Andre Berto would set up an another shot at Keith Thurman

"I was on the understanding that the fight with Andre Berto was a title eliminator," he said.

"We won but we weren't completely satisfied, we would have rather been in there against Keith Thurman but we did that [Berto] for a reason - just to get back at Keith Thurman.

"They are trying to put another obstacle in our way. Whether or not we have to jump over that obstacle remains to be seen but if it's made that way we'll deal with it."
