Anthony Fowler says Floyd Mayweather is "the greatest boxer I've ever seen" and expects him to beat Conor McGregor next month.
Former five-weight undefeated champion Mayweather will take on McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26, in what will be the UFC lightweight champion's first professional boxing fight.
Fowler, who has two wins from his first two professional bouts after signing with Matchroom Boxing, says that he admires both fighters but expects Mayweather to have too much for the Irishman next month.
"I love them both, Mayweather's brains - he's the best fighter of our generation - and McGregor is so funny and witty and he backs it up in the ring," Fowler told Sky Sports News.
"But in a boxing match there is only one winner for me and that's Floyd Mayweather. He's the greatest boxer I've ever seen.
"Talk is cheap and, at the end of the day, the fists do the talking and Mayweather is the man."
Fowler was speaking ahead of the start of the Mission Mudder series on Sky Sports Mix on Tuesday, which sees the boxer, along with five other young British Olympians, competing in three ultimate Tough Mudder challenges as they try to raise money for their nominated charities.
The 26-year-old, cousin of Liverpool legend Robbie, recorded a first-round win over Arturs Geikins in his professional debut before stopping Nikoloz Gvajava in the fourth round and he will return to the ring in September.
"It's going great, I've just turned professional with Matchroom and I've had two professional fights, two wins and two knockouts so the future is looking bright and I'm fighting again in September in Liverpool so it is my homecoming," he said.
Asked if he knew who his next opponent would be, Fowler said: "Not yet, but I just know they are unlucky."
